The purpose of this monograph is to bring to light and back into memory the figure of an extraordinary painter like Pietro Faccini, whose only unforgiven fault was to rebel against the despotic teaching of the Carracci.
Faccini, like a fallen angel, was thrown into the darkness of oblivion, so it’s only now that his artistic personality can stand out with rightful pride.
