Description
When collecting works that Carlo Volpe wrote about art from the 16th up to the 18th centuries in Emilia Romagna, it is evident that these writings are less consistent compared to the texts in the first volume. Besides some wide-ranging essays, the book presents some short texts following to special occasions, such as the catalogue of an exhibition and the publication of a significant and previously unpublished work in a specialized magazine. Yet we believe that this seemingly fragmentary nature can result in one of the most fascinating and surprising features of this second and last volume.
