Description
The works presented in this book date back to the 18th century. These are suburban works on the edge between the old and the new, between the virtues the Counter-Reformation imposed and a more earthly and laic approach to life’s pleasures.
These are works by local and passing artists who wanted to characterize the expression of figurative art in a Legation of the Papal States, through their stylistic or subject persistence or by embracing a new way of feeling, between virtues and senses.
