Bartolomeo Schedoni was an artist from the Po Valley who drew inspiration from Caravaggio and Carracci.
He mainly lived in Lombardy, when this region extended to Bologna.
Because of his genius and excesses, Schedoni can be seen as a Caravaggio of Via Emilia. This monograph is the first complete one about this great master.
Beyond the adventurous biography of the master, who was born in Modena and then naturalized Parmesan, this publication also includes a chronological register and a complete catalogue of the existing and lost paintings.
